We’re delighted to announce that Dootrix has made the finals of the prestigious, national Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards 2023!
We’ve been shortlisted in the Tech Business of the Year category. To get to this stage, competing with household names, we’ve had to demonstrate growth, inspirational leadership, effective management and engaged employees – as well as innovation in technology.
Demonstrating technical innovation
We won’t lie. We’re pretty chuffed to have been shortlisted. The Tech Business of the Year 2023 is very competitive and we’re up against big names such as Octopus Energy, sector leaders like BrightHR, and disruptors such as Zilch. Dootrix has been going a dozen years now and being acknowledged on a major platform celebrating everything that’s good about British business is definitely a major milestone.
The fact that we’ve been included recognises how Dootrix is leading the way in cloud-native development. We’re pioneering new solutions for both enterprises and scale-up organisations and we’re consistently delivering challenging cloud projects by deploying technical expertise underpinned by a keen understanding of the challenges businesses face.
This category is all about demonstrating how we innovate and how this has benefited both our company and our clients. As we specialise in solving complex problems for innovative organisations, it was quite tough to choose which projects to showcase; our solutions for ensuring good governance for complex IT environments and developing modular, customisable, low-code alternatives to inflexible, off-the-peg or expensive, bespoke solutions really strengthened our case.
To make the cut, we’ve also had to demonstrate our plans for sustained, profitable growth alongside our company’s ethics and policies; our customer and our employee engagement; and how our leadership and company culture has supported our growth.
About The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards
This is the largest awards programme celebrating the best of British business. Organisations from start-ups to FTSE 100s are invited to enter the 18 categories, which celebrate ‘the cream of the crop across all industries, championing sustainability, diversity, equality and those that have transcended expectations and limitations throughout the year’.
These awards open up a host of opportunities and give a growing business like Dootrix access to resources and new connections, and we’ve already made some at an event for entrants held on the House of Commons terrace last month.
Judges include Vanessa Valley, founder of WeAreTheCity; John Bailey, CEO of Revive Collagen, Europe’s fastest growing collagen brand; Ollie Winters, Global Communications Director of Fever-Tree; and Ellie Beasley-Gould, Head of Purpose at Hawksmoor.
The winners will be announced at a gala event at Grosvenor House on 14 November.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our Doo-ers for their role in getting us through to the final round.
