Cloud disrupter emerges as a major player; appoints new board to support rapid growth after surge in revenue
LONDON – Tuesday 7th November 2023. British tech start-up, Dootrix, has emerged as a serious contender in the rapidly expanding cloud services market, amid a boom in the country’s most recognised brands using its specialist cloud expertise to reshape how they operate, paving the way for significant growth and returns for investors.
The Microsoft Azure specialist – which works with companies and institutions such as Heathrow, Confused.com, Britain’s blue light services and universities – has witnessed a remarkable 74% increase in revenue this year and more than doubled its staff delivering technology consultancy to some of the UK’s biggest enterprises.
Dootrix, which is innovating and disrupting the market for cloud computing services, has formed a new board to help spearhead the company as it continues to expand rapidly. Managing Director Rob Borley and Technical Director Kevin Smith have become CEO and CTO respectively. Tech heavyweight, Tom Fitzgibbons, has been brought in as COO to oversee the upward trajectory of the business. As Managing Director of digital development agency Zoocha, Fitzgibbons oversaw rapid growth over a five-year period.
In the New year Dootrix will look to continue expanding the senior management team by recruiting a Chief Growth Officer.
The company’s revenue growth has consistently outpaced industry averages, reflecting the strong demand for specialist cloud-based solutions from blue chip companies, as evidenced by Dootrix winning seven-figure contracts in the face of competition from the international bulge-bracket consultancies.
Dootrix CEO, Rob Borley, said: “We see a huge opportunity in being a Microsoft Azure specialist competing for Azure-platformed governance and development contracts against companies that are essentially generalists. It’s a simple message; in an increasingly digital world, if you want Azure done right you need Dootrix.
“We believe we offer a depth of expertise our competitors can’t match, delivering across multiple sectors using a combination of our unique working culture, values and technical expertise.”
The quality of Dootrix’s services and Azure expertise combined with its cutting-edge approach led to it being chosen by Heathrow to partner in developing architectural ownership and governance across multiple internal and external software projects, design and project management right through to full stack, end-to-end development, delivery and maintenance for Europe’s busiest airport.
“One of our keys aims is to make inroads into the retail and healthcare markets in the coming year which should help to achieve our predicted three-year plan of becoming a £20m plus revenue business,” Borley commented.
Dootrix employs around 80 highly skilled Azure-certified specialists, including experienced software engineers, data engineers, and cloud architects. The company has won a reputation for its depth of expertise in development around MS Azure, providing consultancy, engineering and governance through architectural ownership of areas dominated by compliance and security.
Dootrix is a finalist for The Tech Business of the Year Award in the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards 2023, which showcase resilience, innovation and entrepreneurship.
