It’s been a year of growth, strengthening relationships and making new friends. We‘ve moved into a new HQ on the South Coast, expanded our footprint in Manchester as we’ve welcomed many new teammates and inducted new Dootrix University graduates. We’ve launch new apps, built new web services, developed new cloud systems, designed new products and been a part of the growing cognitive services technology revolution.
As 2018 draws to a close it is a great time to reflect on our journey over the past 12 months. It’s been an exciting year of consolidating our strengths and using them as a strong platform for growth.
New clients: confused, BOS, Siemens, Aareon and others
We’ve built upon our longstanding relationships with organisations such as Heathrow and Clancy Docwra and added a number of exciting new clients that we are building genuine win-win partnerships with. Household names such as Siemens and Confused.com are working with us to bring new product innovations to life. Traditional businesses such as Back Office Support Services are looking to us for digital activation and Startups like Casedo are entrusting their disruptive ideas to our expert teams.
We’ve been trusted with critical national infrastructure, UK essential services, blue light and security services and major regulatory bodies. The growth in recognition of the expert teams at Dootrix has been incredibly exciting.
We’ve also come alongside an incredibly important Charity as a technology partner. Surfers Against Sewage are leading the charge not only on the quality of the water that surrounds the UK but also the fight against plastic waste and its impact on the environment. They are responsible for much of the growing momentum behind this environmental challenge and we are proud to be associated with their team.
New team members and a special story – from emp #1 to HoF
As a Product Design and Software Engineering focused Digital Agency the culture of the team that we’ve built and the environment and working practices that allow them to grow and thrive are our lifeblood. It was Richard Branson who said; “Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.” And it is this approach that we proud to embody.
Over nearly 8 years we have been very proud of the many individuals that have chosen to invest their time in making Dootrix what it is today and joining us on this journey. This year saw our very first employee, Craig Rowe become our Head of Engineering. We are a very different organisation to the one he joined all those years ago but we have continued to grow together and having people who are not only experts in their field but who are also able to embody what it means to be part of Dootrix is an incredible asset. His instalment in this role has been a personal highlight for me this year.
New office spaces: the farm & the mill
The team has continued to grow both on the South Coast and in the beating heart of Manchester. We’ve moved into brand new offices in both locations and it has been fantastic to welcome some of the largest organisations in the country to our dedicated workshop spaces.
University programme going from strength to strength
Another great source of pride is our Dootrix University. 2018 saw more graduates from our apprenticeship programme join our teams and the total number of apprentices going through the programme rise to 10. That’s 10 young people offered the opportunity to start their technology journeys with Dootrix. Our apprentices bring so much to the life of Dootrix and we love being able to give them a head start in our exciting industry.
Holidays are coming!
We are looking forward to a well-earned break. 2019 promises new opportunities to deliver exciting new products for our customers and we can’t wait to see where the new year will take us together.
Best Christmas wishes to our customers and partners. And a very prosperous 2019.
